Charges in weekend fatal car accident
A man was charged today in connection with a fatal crash that killed a 53-year-old woman Saturday on the North Side.
Quovadis Temples, 23, of the 4000 block of West Hirsch Street, was charged with one count of reckless homicide, leaving the scene of an accident that caused death and criminal trespass to land.
Temples also was charged with disobeying a traffic signal, failure to reduce speed, driving without a license and operating a vehicle without insurance, said police.
At about 12:49 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a crash near the intersection of Division Street and Elston Avenue, said police. A woman was found unresponsive in her car. She was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where she died a short time later, sai...





A cabdriver, shot five times in the face, neck and back, somehow managed to restrain his attacker long enough for police to arrive and arrest the man, according to Zion police.
